Description

Celebrate the New Year with a vibrant Seafood Dinner featuring succulent shrimp and scallops, infused with garlic and fresh herbs for an unforgettable feast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp
  • 1 lb dry-packed scallops
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Peel and devein the shrimp if necessary. Rinse under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Sear Your Seafood: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer to the skillet. Cook for approximately 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Sear the Scallops: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter if needed. Place scallops in a single layer without crowding them and sear for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Combine Everything: Return shrimp to the skillet with scallops. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over both and gently mix to coat in buttery goodness.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving hot on plates.
