Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather a large mixing bowl and an oven-safe baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add onions and celery; sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine stale bread cubes and sautéed veggies. Stir in fresh herbs and season with salt and pepper.
- Gradually pour chicken broth into the mixture while stirring until evenly moistened. Fold in the beaten eggs thoroughly.
- Transfer stuffing to greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
