Description

Seafood New Year’s Dinner is a delightful medley of fresh shrimp, scallops, and white fish, creating a flavorful and festive dish perfect for celebrating the New Year with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 pound dry sea scallops
  • 1 pound mild white fish fillets (like cod or halibut)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Rinse fresh seafood under cold water and ensure frozen seafood is fully thawed.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and heat until shimmering. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp, scallops, and fish into the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque (about three minutes), flipping halfway through.
  4. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice while stirring gently. Add butter to melt into the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle dried herbs over cooked seafood and stir gently to combine before removing from heat.
  6. Serve hot on plates or a large platter, drizzling any remaining sauce from the pan over the top.
