Irresistible Gooey Butter Pecan Cake is a decadent treat with a rich, buttery filling and crunchy pecans that will have everyone asking for seconds.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and 1 cup of flour until well blended.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of the greased baking dish to form a solid crust.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, and remaining flour until smooth.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the filling over the prepared crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or until set but still gooey in the center.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares and serving warm.
