Brighten your day with these soft and chewy Cranberry Orange Cookies, bursting with zesty orange flavor and sweet-tart cranberries. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries (sweetened)
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and orange zest to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the dried cranberries using a spatula.
  6. Drop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, placing them about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes or until edges turn golden brown. Allow cooling on the sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
