Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and orange zest to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the dried cranberries using a spatula.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, placing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes or until edges turn golden brown. Allow cooling on the sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
