- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)
- 1 cup dried cherries (plump)
Instructions
- Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about three minutes.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add each egg one at a time to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in dark chocolate chips and dried cherries.
