Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
