- 2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole grain, or bagels)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2 large eggs
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C). If using an air fryer, prepare it now.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place butter-side down on a baking sheet or directly into your toaster oven.
- Generously sprinkle cheese over each slice of bread.
- In a small skillet over medium heat, crack the eggs and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the whites are set but yolks remain runny, about 3-4 minutes.
- Once the cheese has melted (approximately 5 minutes), remove the toast from the oven and place an egg on top of each cheesy slice.
- Serve immediately while warm.
