Description

Eggnog Panna Cotta with Nutmeg Whipped Cream is a luscious holiday dessert that beautifully combines creamy texture and festive flavors, perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over 2 tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, eggnog, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it begins to steam (do not boil).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into serving cups or molds. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
  5. While waiting for the panna cotta to set, whip heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and freshly grated nutmeg; mix until well combined.
  6. Once panna cotta is set, top each serving with a generous dollop of nutmeg whipped cream before serving.
