- 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in pans for about ten minutes before transferring them onto wire racks to cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, beat together softened butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream until you reach your desired consistency.
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a generous layer of frosting on top.
- Add the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides generously.
