Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans with butter or cooking spray and dust them with flour.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine eggs, whole milk, creamy peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients while mixing until combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in their pans for about ten minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- In a bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add in creamy peanut butter and mix until well incorporated.
- Once cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate.
- Spread a generous layer of frosting on top before adding the second layer.
- Frost around the sides of the cake if desired.
