Description
Savor the delightful crunch of crispy flounder perfectly paired with a zesty lemon-butter sauce, making every meal feel like a special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 flounder fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 fresh lemons (zest and juice)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp capers
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and tools, including a large skillet, mixing bowls, and a spatula.
- Pat dry the flounder fillets with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- On a plate, spread out the flour. Coat each fillet in flour, shaking off any excess.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until bubbly.
- Carefully place the coated flounder fillets in the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Flip gently to avoid breaking.
- Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set aside on a plate. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of butter along with minced garlic and capers. Sauté for about one minute before adding lemon zest and juice.
- Transfer your crispy flounder back into the skillet to coat with lemon-butter sauce for an additional minute. Plate up and drizzle more sauce on top. Garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately while still warm for maximum flavor!
